IE6's funeral turning into big bash

ie6funeral

When I first saw the announcement and website a week or so ago I thought it was just hilarious and *so* wished I could attend. Apparently I am not the only one as the small little get together had to be moved to a bigger venue to accommodate all the attendees who already RSVP'd.

To view the announcement visit: http://ie6funeral.com/ and the blog post by the design company sponsoring the event: http://atendesigngroup.com/blog/ie6funeral

In their own words: "Those unable to attend the funeral are asked to send flowers. Funeral attire is encouraged. Funeral attire is encouraged."

Just too funny :)

W3 CSS validador down?

I validade my code every time I make changes to the css or the includes and today after a few adjustments I tried validating my site but got an error. Not related to invalid code but somehow the W3 CSS validator seems to be down for the count tonight.

After googling the error I found out I wasn't the only one getting the same error.

I/O Error: The host name [www.fayec.com] couldn't be resolved. Details: "www.fayec.com"

Apparently the server's connection is intermittent and while down it can't resolve the domain's DNS. I would never expect W3 servers to go down but hey, it seems to happen to all of us.

This is my WTH?? of the day.

ALA: The Survey 2008

A List Apart: The Survey 2008 I just took the 2008 survey and I recommend that all in the field do so too.
It's important to have a better view of the field and how we are growing, who are our peers.

Now it's waiting time for the results...
