I love using Joomla! for all my sites be it small or big. Joomla! allows me an ease of upgrading, expanding functionality and design like no other CMS I have used (and I have used many like WP, CMSMS, Drupal, Website Baker, Mambo, etc) hence my devotion to the project.

Bridge Winners

This project was done in collaboration with Open Sky Web Design. The scope of my participation was related to template conversion from Joomla! 1.0 to Joomla! 1.5 as well as customization and extension overrides. You can visit the live site at http://bridgewinners.com.
A little history and a big thank you.
I have been designing websites for 15 years now both freelancing and in full time jobs.
We don't edit Google...
It seems to be a common belief among the general web users that Web designers/developers have the miraculous ability to place their sites at the top of the results for their keywords in a snap.
My answer to that is: We don't edit Google.
The IE6 Dilemma
Anybody who knows me knows that I despise IE6 with a passion. Long before the big names stopped supporting IE6 I was already preaching the "Let it die a horrible death" bit. Not that I don't understand the logistics of doing so or the interaction between designer and client or that the audience target is different for every project. I know that each case is a case BUT I also know that once put in a situation where they can either jump to safety or fall to their demise, people will take the chance jumping.
Grindstone's April Fools
While I was working in the corporate world we tracked our time daily so once I got back to freelancing I continued the practice by using Grindstone 2, a great Open Source time tracking application.
Tienda Presentation Review
![]()
On March 21st, 2010 JUG Toronto hosted a presentation by Rafael Diaz-Tushman by Dioscouri on their latest extension: Tienda.
Tienda is a new e-commerce extension for Joomla! Although still in Beta the promise is there for all to see. Rafael took us through the features and I can say I was very impressed with it's flexibility and ease of use.
JSP Brollop & Fest

Very old mini project and fully static site. The site was a rush project created as an online flyer for a Wedding catering business in Sweden.
A romantic look and feel was needed therefore the wedding symbols were used as well as the invitation style with lace borders.
This site was live for a short time only.
Halsoterrassen

This is an older project and fully static site. All in xhtml and css and no CMS backend.
The site required a Zen look and feel for a massage therapy business in Sweden. I combined the idea of rocks, greenery and blue tiles from pools and spas into this curvy design.
